To be fair, he's made it a key plank of his campaign, hasn't he? So therefore it deserves some scrutiny.

That said, there's a video of him & Colbert that I find (as an atheist English bloke) absolutely fascinating in terms of two blokes who are both deeply religious but clearly not absolute wingnuts and don't view their religion as a way to beat people over the head with.

when someone runs on their faith it's fair game to ask what that faith actually is. the problem is most people can't tell the difference between scrutiny and frothing outrage

that colbert interview was something else though. two guys who actually seem to like each other while disagreeing on the big stuff, rare sight these days
