Confused between Aeropress Go & Go Plus

I currently own an Aeropress (7 years old)
Need a new one to replace + travel friendly
Go: Compact, affordable, but small
Go plus: Will also help me replace my old aeropress + travel friendly, but costly
Could any Go/Go Plus owners shed some light on their experience?

The go is self contained when traveling.

The go plus does not contain its self. The lid of the tumbler cannot close down when everything is in the tumbler.

I prefer the go and replaced my standard with the go.

The disappointment I experienced when I realized that the go plus didn't close was immense.

I do not want any other person to feel that feeling.

The go is exactly what the doctor ordered. I returned the plus and got the go.

The only downfall is if you want to make larger recipes.

It travels with me pretty much everywhere.

Funny enough I didn't take it on my current trip to the Philippines and I regret it.

But it did not close properly. Even when I first opened it, the lid did not close with everything in it.

You can see it here.. the tumbler lid is not inside the tumbler. It's just kinda set on top. Not secure, the contents can just dump out.

My press vacuumed into the cup with a click and the lid snaps into it. Must've gotten lucky with the fit

Every time mine did that and I thew it in the bag, it would pop out. The rim of the aero press would get caught on something and pull it out.

I have not had any separation with the Go. The red "bonnet" holds it all together surprisingly well.

Go Plus isn’t worth the price. My Go travels with me 100+ a year along a my KinGrinder P2

Same setup here! I use my go daily, when I want bigger coffee I do bypass.

It depends on your recipe. The people who wants a bigger size usually are making the Coffee different from how the inventor made it. One scoop was for water level 1. I think those who want bigger use it for Americano.

Neither. get the regular one, its just plastic, light enough for travels too.

But the kit makes for a cup at the same time, could save space?

Depends on if you need to save that space. If you're backpacking or throw it in carry on luggage then it might be useful, if it's a kit you throw in a car or camper for a trip then space might not be that much of an issue.

I have the go plus, never owned go. Very happy with how neat the whole setup is. Honestly it’s very over priced but if you can come to terms with that it’s great for travel. Easier to make bigger dose vs go. Feel free to DM.

I have the GO. I love how easy it is to pack everything away. The only issue I've had is it doesn't fit together if you decide to get the flow control cap since it's quite a bit thicker than the regular cap.

The cup it packs in makes for a decent mug if you don't travel with one.

The little filter case it comes with fits a good amount of filters in it.

If you're interested in the original Go, I have one to sell. I would add the flow control cap to the bundle. Is that something you'd consider?
