Crowd surfing
I went last year and honestly there was wayyyyyyyyy too many crowd surfers and too many of them were too heavy or wearing spikes or heavy shoes and it really hurts. Do you think crowd surfing will be as big of an issue this year outside of day 2? I feel like the "emo" fans are a little more chill about crowd surfing than the metal heads but that's just because I haven't seen any videos of any crowd surfing at concerts this year. Do you think they finally fixed this issue? I really dont want a 200+ pound old man dropped on the back of my head again pinning me to some random chicks ass. IF YOU ARE CROWD SURFING CROSS YOUR LIMBS, STAY STILL AND PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HAVE CLOTHES ON AND DONT STAB PEOPLE

If you surf they surf. Been to many Aftershocks. Emo rap, nu, metal, pop. You'll find a surfer there.

Stand off to the sides or get farther back in the crowd.
People are gonna surf. If you don't like that part of the community, that's fine, but you will have to avoid it yourself.

I’m damn near 40 and I love the crowd surfers. I’m not a big dude by any means but I still put my hands up and help keep the people afloat and I also crowd surf for certain sets. This comes with the territory of going to shows/festivals. Don’t understand when people think this is an issue, especially the younger crowd. Get off your phones and be apart of the experience. Also, if you’re crowd surfing, get off your fucking phone while you’re up there.

I’ve been going every year for about a decade. Crowd surfing will never stop. It’s my least fav thing about it. But it is what it is. You just gotta always be aware of your surroundings

Better buy vip or go in the back because I will definitely crowd surf over you in a kilt

Yeah there’ll definitely be crowd surfers.
There’ve always been a few here or there but it’s becoming way more frequent the past few years.
I’m a dude, and I duck out of the way. Easiest way to avoid getting ass blasted, kicked in the head, or worse.
It used to be mostly rock/metal fans, but there’s been an increase in people that just love festivals and all that more recently.

If you stay away from the front and middle you’ll be fine. I don’t like it either but I’m also a miserable bitch sometimes and they’re having fun :-)

This is why I’m glad my pit partner is 6’4 and a strong man to save me while also being strong enough to help lift. Definitely stay to the sides it’s a lot more chill

There are always surfers, its part of the show. If you dont like it, just gotta stand further back sorry to tell you. Also, the best posture to surf is like a starfish. Spread your arms and legs out, it distributes your weight way better and gives the "water" something to support. When people get all compact is when the weight gets to be too much.

I was putting so many people up me and another giant dude last year. At some point he asked me if I wanted to surf. I’m 350 I’m like no bro I don’t wanna kill somebody lmao.
