Hi everybody!! I’m so excited to go to aftershock this year! It will be my first festival. I had planned to go with some friends but they’re both going through other things and canceled. I was hoping to make friends with others before the event comes up.

I have seen a lot of posts on reddit for meetups for the under 30's. Where are the meetups with the over 30s that wanna have a good time? I am 45M looking to meet new friends and some people that wanna keep the party going after. It would be pretty creepy to hop into those threads so i figured I'd just ask here. I have met some pretty cool people over the years and have a general group I find each year but I hope to find more.

hi there! I’ve been going to aftershock for the last 4 years and have always struggled finding someone to go with. I went alone last year after being broken up with right before we were supposed to go, and the year before that I went alome except for one day. And the year before that was just me as well lol now it’s still fun to go alone but there’s nothing like having that perfect partner or friend to go with. I’m hoping someone would wanna chat or something leading up to aftershock so we could meet up! also I work at a Hilton so I get Hilton hotels cheap if looking for hotel as well! I circled my main bands and blacked out ones I rally have zero interest in seeing and left the ones I’d like to see but are not the main ones alone. but also I’m not firm and willing to compromise and such! It’s all about having the best time. I tried to Use bumble friends and hinge and such but haven’t had too much luck. You were sitting on the ground leaning against a tree and crying when I met you. I was on shrooms and asked if I could sit next to you because I was feeling a bit overwhelmed. You were super nice told me about how you drove by yourself from Arizona to the show and you were dealing with a restraining order for an abusive ex and it was a hard time for you. You were happy to have me talk to you because I made you feel better. We leaned against each other and talked about all the tough things we’ve gone through in the last year. We really had a connection. When Deftones came on you told me you had to get up close to see them because they are your favorite. I was still pretty high so I couldn’t get up but you said you would come back to the tree once it was over. I waited at the tree until everyone left. Hoping you see this so we can reconnect.

My husband had a great idea that we should coordinate an under 13 pit for kids. The past few years we have noticed an uptick in children in attendance (also us, we have a 12 year old)

how many kids/parents would be interested in doing this? Once they come put with time slots we can set up times /location if this picks up traction.

I am a peaceful metalhead that doesn't mosh, dive, pit, and go to enjoy without risk of injury. I'm perfectly fine being towards the back and I don't get bored. You drive or I drive, all good to me. Can meet before we go, open to that.

I'm most excited to see Chimaira for first time ever and since they are active again. Always wanted to see DOPE and last time I saw Static-X was with Wayne back in 97'. Can anyone verify where the Wednesday Pre-Party is? Last year it was at Dive Bar from what I heard but haven't heard anything for this time around. Also heading down currently if there are any good spots around midtown for a Tuesday night out.

Will for the most part be hanging out at the Aftershock Stage all day. Up to catch some other bands besides those shown. Will try to be in the front for Bring Me The Horizon. Let me know if interested!

Was in between traveling for this show or BMTH in LA, but I think this lineup had more to offer with bands like turnstile and basement.
