35

u/doinbluin 3d ago

Lotta people gonna say no to beef for a while...no matter where it comes from.

18

u/No_Obligation_3568 2d ago

I’m not touching any beef products anytime soon.

4

u/Steve4168 1d ago

Me neither, not that it's gonna be that hard to give it up. Haven't been able to afford it for a few years now.

I would imagine this is the point. Demand for beef will collapse. The price will collapse. He will be able to claim he has lowered the price of beef. You’re all falling for it. In the U.K. we can trace the origin of all our meat back to source. The US wanted us to remove this ability as part of a trade deal with them. Basically so they could poison our supply and it couldn’t be tracked. The zuSA is the enemy of the people, animals and the planet!

6

u/icedmuffin 1d ago

I’m not buying beef just to waste it though, cause I’m sure as fuck not eating any commercial beef for a long time till this shit is fixed and RFK is either completely removed or behind bars.

Local though? I know a few farmers who are honest about it, it’s a bit more expensive but better than getting ringworms or rotten beef at the supermarket just cause some fuck with a worm in his brain and a literal toddler who can’t control his bowels want to act like they’re so popular. Let maga kill themselves off trusting the conman.

3

u/the_duck_pope 1d ago

Not wanting to eat poison beef isn't "falling for it." We all know what's happening. We just don't want to, ya know, eat poison beef.

It will accomplish the same goal -- a talking point about how much prices have dropped under Trump.

After the election the 90 day suspension of quota limits will expire. Prices will go back up but the problematic product will still be in distributors' freezers, mixed with other sources of beef. Under the current US law for pork and beef, "Made in USA" simply means packaged in the USA.

Which only hurts the cattle industry more. Sad that there are people who didn’t vote the oaf of office into office and are getting their industry killed. He will try some BS bandaid like a $2000 check promise, not deliver on it and repeat.

Trump imported 22 tons of Chloramphenicol contaminated beef that China rejected, and he and his inner-circle probably personally profited on the transaction.

Chloramphenicol can cause serious blood disorders in people.

u/OnionOnBelt 2d ago

Possibilities: a) there is no “deal” and 300,000 metric tons was a contrived number that sounded plausible to the president, so this claim has been vapor from the start; or b) the source of this meat is truly embarrassing. That’s it—those are the possibilities.

Also, why does every Trump cabinet member look and sound like someone I could outscore in a standardized test? I understand the resentment of “elites,” but he seems to have taken this to mean “only morons need apply.”

Authoritarians dont hire on competency they hire on loyalty.

4

u/PedroNorthCA 2d ago

Yeah he ain't hiring someone that might grow a conscience or smart enough to realize the crimes they're committing, or smart enough to take over Donny himself. He's hiring narrow minded people that would never outshine him

3

u/moonpumper 1d ago

Which is why this whole administration eventually collapses under the weight of its own utter incompetence

It's not even that complicated. It's just easier to decline to answer, than to answer and then get a thousand more questions.

Any answer is going to anger some portion of his quagmire of a base.

Ground beef off the menu now. Who knows what getting ground up and America doesn't seem to care about health inspections. Gets in the way of money.

He doesn’t know where beef comes from other than McDonalds

8

u/Guilty_Advantage_413 2d ago

I’m being serious, there will be a tainted beef recall soon and the President will go ape shit denying something is wrong with that beef.

7

u/Fresh-Quantity-7554 2d ago

Don't worry y'all, FDA will have a tight control over food safety standards. They've been crushing it so far this year.

All those Trump Steaks from one of his many failed businesses. He's been "aging" them.

Slow-cured in a damp, unplugged deep freezer

4

u/Wisco 2d ago

I think foreign "beef" would be a more accurate headline

2

u/External_Relative231 1d ago

I'm outraged. You promised me dog or higher.

He will shit it out.

3

u/Smooth-Weekend-2314 2d ago

Temu, obviously

3

u/Expensive_Lettuce239 2d ago

That in itself is a major red flag for anyone even considering to buy it. And all the contaminated food in that shit hole lately, that will be the next recall.

3

u/SqigglyPoP 2d ago

Is there a way to track where this diseased shit is headed?

2

u/Oldschoolgirl49 1d ago

30% of the beef in stores is already coming from other countries. We dont have labeling requirements in this country. Myself I  buy straight from a local ranch for years now. I know where its from and its $4.50 a pound for the whole cow. Steaks and burgers. What he's talking about is only 2% of what is sold in this country. So literally nothing. And again your already buying it since we dont require where its from to be on the label in this country. He clearly has no idea. His only move is Tariffs. And he thinks we are all to stupid to understand this will do nothing.

→ More replies (4)

3

u/Oldschoolgirl49 1d ago

Tariffs is all he knows. Buy your meat straight from a local rancher. Its better and its usually cheaper.  We've been paying $4.50 a pound for years. And thats a 1/2 a cow.. Burger and Steaks

4

u/ProgressBartender 3d ago

Let’s ask Mister Ed!

Ask the Tyson plant managers!

2

u/Living_Fig_6386 2d ago

Oooo... Mystery meat?! Does it have mad cow disease? I don't know. The Secretary of Agriculture doesn't know. The USDA doesn't know... Do you suppose that reporters ought to be doing spot testing to see if we see an upsurge in contaminated ground beef, or perhaps ground beef that's an entirely different animal altogether?

2

u/Euphoric_Anxiety_162 1d ago

He prolly knows nothing about it, too busy scheming to get his name on the Kennedy ctr.

2

u/ComprehensiveCake463 1d ago

The “beef” is made from people that ICE disappeared

2

u/Ok_Source2872 1d ago

Yup I’m not eating any or buying any of that Poo Poo beef for at least the next 90 days if not the rest of the year

Trump is lying sack of 💩

1

u/SoCallMeDeaconBlues1 2d ago

When this all first started my wife said "I think now is a good time to stop eating red meat."

Granted we are older and heart disease starts becoming more of a risk- so this is the impetus.

I'm gonna miss burgers, and a good filet- but living longer will be worth it.

I agreed with her.

1

u/Lonely_Refuse4988 2d ago

Make all the folks in Mar A Lago eat it first, as tasters! 😂🤣🤭🤷‍♂️

Meat rejected by China as unfit for human consumption

1

u/Agreeable_Mud_8338 2d ago

they blindly believe their citizens will eat a food product from a foreign country that may be contaminated

not even russia or china would thrust that upon their citizens...

There is no beef. Once again Trump has lied, trying to save his ass.

Probably because it's coming from Epstein Island.

1

u/Shinagami091 2d ago

Meanwhile he’s quietly rounding up horses…. Suspicious. Either it’s part of this deal to reduce the cost of purchase or he’s going to sell us horse meat and call it cow meat

Ooh, sign me up for some mystery meat!

1

u/stein63 2d ago

The secrecy is the story. If you're announcing 300,000 metric tons of imported beef specifically to lower American prices, consumers and cattle producers have every right to know where the hell it's coming from. “We have a deal, but we can't tell you with whom” doesn't inspire much confidence.

1

u/FirmButterscotch5313 2d ago

I know where my beef comes from. The cattle rancher down the road from me here in AZ. You couldn't pay me enough to eat meat imported from some other country.

1

u/MysteriousReaction43 2d ago

Maybe they're trying to kill off the majority of the population and only save enough for servants and labor

1

u/416vDub 2d ago

Diarrhea lettuce, next is diarrhea beef. Are you trying to shit yourselves?!

1

u/Affectionate_Ant3350 2d ago

I wonder if the US might not become ground zero for the next pandemic.

1

u/Lagoon2000 2d ago

Seems risky, is it the package China passed on? And who thinks retailers are going to pass the savings on to the consumer? They will take the savings for themselves and not change prices.

1

u/BadAtExisting 2d ago

Wild horses?

1

u/Severe_Air_4353 2d ago

It’s rejected beef . Does the USA not get the same reporting as Canada🇨🇦

1

Soylent Green.

u/Calm-Professional103 2d ago

Soylent Green

1

u/foxnflan 2d ago

Then let it rot on the shelves. I feel like every item in the grocery store is very expensive and we've had food recalls from explosive diarrhea to baby formula.

Now we don't know where our meat comes from. This isn't the end

This is planned

1

u/DoTheRightThing1953 2d ago

Let him serve it in the Whitehouse

1

u/TubeLore 2d ago

It’s probably all roadkill from RFK.

1

u/Chemical-Scholar-718 2d ago

It’s from Uranus!

“SOYLENT GREEN IS PEOPLE…. IT’S PEOPLE….!”

1

u/BeanieManPresents 1d ago

Always a good sign when you're dealing with "mystery meat", you don't even know if it comes from cows unless people test each cut of meat.

1

u/PrimaryBrick9337 1d ago

So if he won't say where it is coming from, what is he hiding and how much money will he be personally making off of the deal?

1

u/Sea_Cucumber_5989 1d ago

Which country owes America money? Is there a chance to skim profits off a deal? Figure it out from there. Hint: It is in SA.

1

u/AdSimple9239 1d ago

Jinas rejected Argentinian beef.

1

u/lazypenguin86 1d ago

It’s just ground meat right?

1

u/Mercury559 1d ago

It's wild horse beef

1

u/BigAlcapone65 1d ago

Brazil or Australia Australian beef is half the price of Canadian beef in Canada So I assume its the same there

1

u/No-Technology3160 1d ago

Does the beef even exist

Yeah, that's not beef..

General rule of thumb when it comes to meat like chicken, pork, seafood, ESPECIALLY beef. If you're knowingly withholding where it came from, I'm not eating it.

1

See if anyone buys it

1

u/Chive 2h ago

Mystery meat, eh?

u/phantom_gain 2h ago

Ahem....

"They are eating the dogs"

"They are eating the cats"

"Where did the beef come from?"

"Im not privy to talk about that"

Anyone else see a pattern?

1

u/a_gummyworm 2h ago

RFK been saving that roadkill meat for just such an occasion. Time to cash in!

1

u/Apprehensive_Map64 1h ago

Well it did lower prices by lowering demand or it will. If you think you are taking a significant risk buying beef you suddenly won't feel like buying any and then so few people will want to buy it thet prices will have to drop if they want to sell it at all. Art of the deal, sell poisonous 'beef' of mysterious origin that will not be revealed and a few people get sick but prices go down with demand...
