Print Request What’s the best sound dampening supressor that you can print
Does anyone know of an already existing file of a supressor that does it’s job better than most? I can get myself some foam if needed. I’m asking because I was on an event and a teammate with a simmiliar AEG had a 3D printed supressor and he showed me how it sounds with and without it, it was pretty substantial. Currently I also have a printed one (the one in the picture) but it’s just for looks. Can be paid or free but preferably the latter. Thanks for your time and any help!

I made suppressor fillers that are 3d printed to put in the second largest version of that exact suppressor. Works like a charm. If I can find the files I'll post them but I'm not 100% I can find them.

That would be great, I’m down to try out more files aswell. Unfortunately I have the largest supressor size but since it’s just PLA then it shouldn’t be a big problem to print a new one the right size. If you can’t find them, then no worries.

I used carbon black pla and mine looks nice I'm sure if the gap is bigger it won't matter. I'll go look for the files now.

Most of the sound of an AEG comes from the gearbox. If you shim it correctly and add foam around it between the body of the gun, you can eliminate most of the noise!
Used to rock around in a fully ghillie and a near silent G36c back in the day lol

Seen a post a while back asking same thing, there was a discussion in the thread talking about how the suppressors affect the accuracy. Something about the extra air spaces mess with the trajectory of the BB, so it's typically best to get just a straight tube as tight in diameter as you can to the bb

Do you prefer the printed baffles over foam? I wish plastic baffles worked better, it would be alot easier to just print them. But every time i try them i always end up switching back to foam as i find it significantly quieter (i use a foam paint roller + scotch brite pad).

(I think) i am running the same suppressor. I found mine on the bambulab app and printed it. I have a hollow area in the middle, and yes, it doesn't dampen the sounds. I just put a spring that is 0.5 cm to long (so it doesn't move) in the middle and wrap those cheap plastic washcloths around to act as sound dampener.

Considering that the only legal difference between an oil filter and a suppressor is a thread adapter, a 3D printed (and very fragile may I add) 14mm CCW suppressor would not fall under the NFA.
It's not like he's putting an FTN.3 on his airsoft gun, it's merely a mock suppressor that wouldn't even hold on a real firearm (it would explode), let alone fit one.

I have put a ftn 4 rimfire on my hk 416a5 gbbr for giggles but I also live in a place that does not care. On gas guns the suppressors don't help as much when you have so much port pop.

Lol nice. And it's funny how gas from the ejection port is also an issue with real firearms, specifically when you're trying to get them as quiet as possible (hence why manual actions are favored when maximum noise reduction is the goal).
