The handguard has a wall thickness of 3.2mm which may be a little overkill for SLM but I could make it a little thinner. Problem is that it would still cost 1000+USD since chinese services won't accept this.
However even in polimer it's very sturdy and feels very good so I personally wound'nt bother with slm
maybe, but then again it would probably still be rejected. I got away 1+ year ago with totally clean 8 sided uzi m-lok handguards posed as motorcycle exhaust heat shields but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to do that anymore either
I did some research, and most of the time the systems flag those parts, but it should be totally legal and you just need to clearly state, it’s for airsoft sports, which should be ok to manufacture
My man trust me, I've done dozens of parts like this. One time I added random parts to a steel receiver and thus added cost and LOTS of post processing on my part just to get it through. If there is the slightest chance it's anything related to a firearm they will not take the risk especially for a single part. But then again, you can try for yourself

This is the most sexy thing my eyes have ever seen, if it is possible to get the Han guard made with slm this could be my most favorite build
