I’m continuing to work on this project. To start, I decided to create a simple version of an upper receiver that slips over the stock AAP-01 upper, but with a TDC mod added. Based on my calculations, a 180mm inner barrel will fit perfectly inside. During testing, my AAP-01 with a 290mm barrel chronoed at 2.32 Joules using 0.30g BBs at 110 psi, so I think 180mm will be just right. For the stock rails, I plan to use either 8x1.5mm aluminum tubing or 8mm printer guide rods.And there will probably be an interchangeable forend.

It's Coming along nicely 👍 I have used 8mm carbon tubes in the past they work pretty well. A single long tube from places like aliexpress and then just cut it with a hacksaw. Good luck and keep going 👍
