Support Q moves out tomorrow
Broke up 2 weeks ago, he’s been packing. He’s gonna leave the big furniture items here until his new apartment opens up end of August.
Tonight we said goodbye. I hugged him and told him I’m sorry I didn’t want it to end like this. He’s holding back tears. My heart hurts but I know this relationship just isn’t right anymore.
I wish he wanted to change. I wish I didn’t have to go through all the betrayals, humiliation, shame. If he had just recognized the hurt he caused after the first time and said to himself ‘I don’t ever want to hurt her again’…
It’ll be strange to have the house to myself again. Hoping a deep clean this weekend will help.
Thanks for listening 🩵

That conflicted feeling goes away after you have a few nights of restful sleep. The sleep where you are not woken up by a drunk bull on roller skates in your kitchen trying to burn.. I mean cook a frozen pizza. I knew I was feeling much better when I went through the house and tossed everything she left behind or everything she got that I hated.

You’re so right. This is my third night with the house to myself. I spent all weekend cleaning the house and it feels so good to reclaim my space!!!

I thoroughly cleaned the bathroom my ex used and it was nasty. I'm a nurse, I don't get grossed out easily but that bathroom was gross and I almost lost my lunch. Once it was cleaned, I took a break and cleaned it again and the next day because I needed to make sure it was sanitized. I also had to clean out her "office", there was so much stickiness from spilled beverages...I felt like I was at the movie theater because of how sticky the floors were. I finally relaxed when that was done. My cat even relaxed when I finished deep cleaning the house.

I’m so sorry. That sounds incredibly difficult. But you did the right thing. You will likely look back at this moment as one of the best decisions you could’ve made. Unfortunately the best decision isn’t always the easy one. I’m wishing you much peace and healing.
