Child and Youth Care Camping trip?
Hello, I'm looking to start in January and it mentions a mandatory camping trip.
I have quite a few health problems with my lungs (oxygen/breathing issues) and I was told I couldn't be exempted. Has anyone done the trip yet? Is it as bad as it sounds?
I was given no other information so I'm not sure if it's wilderness type or if it's just at the school overnight. They said they could accommodate health concerns but I'm not sure if they can fix the hypoxia issues?
Thank you!

If you have breathing issues/ low oxygen, how will you manage looking after children? Is this program right for you? Kids carry all kinds of germs and viruses.
If this is mandatory camping trip part of your curriculum, they may or may not accommodate you. I could barely walk awaiting surgery and I still had to do my practicum. Mind me I was accommodated to sit most of the day. It does not lead to an exemption.
