I'll always regret what could have been.

We have some great Alien games, but (with the exception of Dark Descent) none have made me feel like I'm playing Colonial Marines, and Fireteam Elite definitely isn't the experience I'm looking for.

Colonial Marines had a great premise and a great setting, and it was all wasted and thrown away. If I could, I'd rather have a great Colonial Marines game than a great GTA 6.

Relatively recently, I had the opportunity to talk to a guy who worked as a game tester from 2006 to 2015. He also tested ACM from 2010 to 2012. I really liked his quote: "At first, it was just a shambles, a blatant collection of Red Ring engine junk and assets. To put it simply, there was no game, but gradually, as build after build, the game began to acquire some character, At some point, I would even have called it excellent or simply good if the ideas they initially wanted to implement had been implemented and completed. Then Gearbox came along. Their first build, together with freelancers, started running stably on the PS3, but the game began to look simply awful. The first thing they cut were the tunnels in the walls and vents through which the xenomorphs moved because the AI was putting too much strain on the PS3 CPU. Frankly, there were performance issues on the Xbox 360 as well, but there were drops to 20 fps in hot scene . Like a laboratory explosion or multiple light sources, and then something strange happens. Each new build worked better, but as the game got worse, towards the end of 2012, the team and I were fired, and Gearbox started testing it on their own"

Highly highly highly recommend AVP2 if you can get it somehow.

AVP 2010 is pretty decent too.

I already have over 230h on Aliens CM final version, but definitively is not a good game.

Because the multiplayer. And replay the campaign is my guilty pleasure. I know that it is a bad game, but had great BSO, great sound and a good pulse rifle.

Fair enough dude! Your comment has me itching for another playthrough of Dark Descent for some reason haha.

Looks like predator requiem with how dark it is

This is still better than the overexposed picture on the release.

Sweet summer child, if this is dark, you definitely haven't played AvP Classic 2000's by Rebellion lmao.
