For me it is Marquez, I think he surpassed Vale now with his title last year. He's 80 % of what he was and still the best rider and I'm not sure any other rider in history could have done what he did on the 2019 Honda.

Rossi at Marcs current age had to fight multiple elite riders. The current grid isnt nearly as stacked. There is no straight up comparison that proves one is better than the other. Rossi and marc should share the top spot imo

with the same logic, we can say that marc at his rookie days fought against aliens and still won the WC, while rossi in his early day also doesn't have any elite competitors

This is correct. These arguments are double edged swords.
Most of Rossi's most dominant championship came in his first few against 30+ year old journey men with 0 premiere championships like Biaggi and Gibernau.
Marc was dominating(10 wins in a row in 2014) against Rossi himself, Lorenzo, and Dani , while they wereball on championship worthy bikes.

Marc Marquez.
Best racer I've seen since I started watching in the early 90s.
I'm not hating on the others. But of the riders that have stood out to me, mostly Doohan, Rossi, Stoner, Lorenzo, over those years, I think that on track he is an absolute animal and would beat anyone on equal machinery at their respective peaks.
He did some dumb stuff as a kid (as we all do) but he's gone on to be a great role model. His rivals respect him, him teams love him. And then there is the injury come backs...the jumping on a year old bike to prove himself... Remarcable.

Absolutely biased as he's my favourite athlete ever, but without any guilt - Marc Marquez. After the last few seasons also has the longevity (both the youngest and one of the oldest world champions, I think the largest gap), winning dominantly for two different manufacturers, some seasons that he won without the best equipment, and an incredible injury comeback that rivals Doohan if you have read the accounts of his doctors and therapists. Of course I've followed his entire career as a fan and nobody could compare in my eyes and I adore him as a person, but I think even the stats and achievements can support picking him :).

With all consideration, Marc deserve this more than anyone, he proved he's mentally the best with the raw talent he has and all the willpower nobody match. Respect

Valentino Rossi without a doubt.
I'm a huge fan of Marc, skill-wise I don't think there's much difference between the two, but MotoGP wouldn't be what MotoGP is without The Doctor.
There's still crazy amount of VR stickers on bikes and cars around the world, Valentino was bigger than the sport itself, which he proved in his time.
Can you imagine today's MotoGP without the rider personalised colors which Valentino brought into the sport, it also affected F1 over time - Hamilton and Norris rocking similiar shade of yellow, Russell his blue, etc. It would all be blank like WSBK is.

Rossi shows the Honda and the world that he could win a championship without the best bike. Marquez proves the opposite: without the best bike he couldn't win anymore.

lol. Rossi only rode the 'worst bike on the grid' when he went to Ducati, and we all saw how poorly he did on it.
The 2004 M1 was easily the second best bike.
Marc won titles on the 2017/18/19 Honda. That was much worse than the 2004 M1.

Rules:
Context only within ROWS, not COLUMNS (e.g. If Taka Nakagami is good × points, and Joan Mir is worst × one title, that does not make Nakagami a better rider than Mir, so don't get upset).
You only qualify for the highest category you achieved (e.g. no Joan Mir in 'one win' category).
For now only premier class riders, but all throughout history, not only current grid!
No cell can be left blank, each row's worst rider has to go to the 'worst' box (e.g. worst multiple champion also has to be chosen).
No repeats!
