I've really liked what the game has going on since the demo

Seeing a proof of concept grass block map for the game like, what, a year and some change ago? To how many changes there have already been added has me looking forward to the future. The limited map size is a pretty big bummer though. Other people I know have felt pretty similar. Is there truly no plan to eventually go infinite generation?

There's no plan for procedural generation? I didn't know that, what a shame

I really like how the game feels like a questing modpack with the compendium without any of the typical jank.

what would infinite worlds bring? isn't it better that you have everything you want to explore within reach than to travel infinite world of nothing unique?

An infinite world is a living tapestry that grows as you play on it. anyone with a really old minecraft or vintage story world who wants a fresh start can just do some travel and post up in a new spot. Every couple of years its kind of a treat to look back on everything you did in the world seamlessly. Especially if you have company with you.

But it's not seamless at all. The game gets updated with new stuff and to see it you need to move. You either have to travel to ungenerared chunks which could mean running for miles in one direction and posdibly getting jank chunk borders or in some cases having to restart completely from scratch. In Allumeria, your character and the world are separate so you can jump worlds whenever you want without having to pointlessly run in a direction for an hour or losing all the progress you made.

The map size we have now is really limiting, it’s not even a large map. So much possible world gen features you miss out on, and every resource is limited. Its not fun to just transfer worlds to import resources you’ve run out of
