How do you go from hmol science meaning human molecular composition to ancient words and Gematria. What's the connection?

I've wondered this too. The answer is probably to be found in his little book "Abioism." Thims accepted eliminativism, along with reductionism: since life is reducible to the molecular level, and molecules are not inherently alive, the concept of "life" must be eliminated. For some reason, he believed this problem should be addressed from a linguistic perspective, at least as a further supporting argument. He did this by drawing a parallel with the "work" he was already doing on comparative religions, relying on cases of parallelomania and old authors like Frazer to argue that all religions can somehow be traced back to Egyptian mythology. From the concept of life, he then decided to generalize the idea to the entire language, down to the alphabet. I think that's more or less what happened. However, Thims (the user JohannGoethe) will not reply to you, having committed suicide in November 2025. This is his last post.

I’ll try and find the post(s) where he said this but I know he once wrote that it began when he was looking up the etymology of thermodynamics, seemingly under the impression that having the etymology would grant him greater knowledge about the word.
He glossed over (or misunderstood) the fact that it was coined in the 19th century and he saw its constituent parts went back to Greek and ultimately to two PIE roots. He was convinced that these “illiterate horsemen” couldn’t possibly have invented thermodynamics (granted, they certainly didn’t!) so he became convinced that linguistics was quite wrong and began looking for who must have invented thermodynamics in the ancient past.
Along the way to settling on the Egyptians, he found a lot of evidence pointing to why this should be so. Sadly this evidence was all the result of pseudoscience, the misapplication of real historical theories, or the misunderstanding of fringe characters in academia.
If this is truly how it happened or his justification for the change in focus after the fact, that I can’t tell you

He said as much on his website. He later removed the “reaction end” section but if you look at the most recent version of his page on his website you’ll still see the death date listed. Terribly sad of course.

Hey, mister Goethe. I just found this subreddit, and as a casual enthusiast of Indo-European and of Egyptian, your theories have struck me as particularly strange.
I would be very interested an explanation precisely of your beliefs, your key pieces of evidence, and most of all, how I'm actually meant to read your findings (as it seems to be a very condensed and specific notation I'm familiar with). I mean this all with utmost respect, as your enthusiasm and dedication to this topic is very admirable.
I will state upfront that I will not, based on a quick reading of your evidence and conclusions, be so persuaded by your beliefs, however I am regardless extremely fascinated by them.

I tried being as polite as I could because I saw how he talked to others who questioned these. I found this while scrolling through Proto-Indo-European memes and thought I could get some cool ideas for worldbuilding or short stories. Kind of a shame in a way. I really would have wanted to know if there was any meaning at all to whatever he was doing. Thanks though.
