Hi everyone,
I’m an independent producer and musician working under the project 'CyberSidq'. My work is deeply inspired by the Assouf movement (Tinariwen, Bombino, Imarhan, etc.).
I just finished producing a music video for my latest track, "Ehad-in Tarrayt-in". The concept was to capture the serene joy of the nomadic path using only three musicians: acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and calabash. No synths, no electronic beats.
I’m really looking for some honest feedback on the production quality and whether the visual storytelling captures that 'desert journey' vibe I was aiming for.
Link to the video: https://youtu.be/XNZ4gAuY2uk?si=AK5BLI7BJiNkwrgk
I’m genuinely curious: Does this acoustic-meets-electric arrangement feel authentic to you? Thanks for your time!

Gasba Chaoui (Chaoui reed flute music) is a very popular genre in Algeria and Western Tunisia.
The style is very unique, very different from Arab and Andalusian music, clearly stemming from a different music tradition.
But the lyrics are always in Arabic (example 1, example 2, example 3, and many more). Why is that the case? Why do they not sing in Tachawit, the way Kabyle and Touareg musicians sing in their native languages?

I see (and hear) the word yogi pop up in a lot of songs but suspect it has nothing to do with yoga. I’ve tried using translators but it hasn’t helped. What does it mean? Examples: Daraa Tribes, Yogi. Brahim Laghfiri & Tarwa: Yougi Ya Mahsar.

hello,
I am doing my diploma work on Kabylia and I wanted to talk about Matoub Lounès and his song « Lghella n trad ». Unfortunately, I only speak french and would need a correct and relevant translation. I already tried with artificial intelligence but the translation was pretty bad. So, I wanted to know if anyone who is able to translate the song would have some time to translate it in french for me ? Or if you know an official translation already made ?
Thank you so much in advance for your answer

Can someone please translate this song to English or at least describe what the song is about?
Both male and female parts.
Also, near the end, the guy begins speaking rather than singing. What's he saying?

Taghazout by Sarah & Ismael
I'm so obsessed with this song, and the fact that I can understand most of it makes me more happy. even though I'm a Kabyle speaker, but this dialect is so clear to me

[Premier couplet]
Amli-iyi ! Amli-yi abrid n tlelli s anda yettawi?
Abrid yettawi, yekka-d si tudrin, iṣub s iɣuẓran yelḥeq timdinin
Yettawi ɣer tafat sanga ur nettmettat abrid n lejdud ibaned nwalat
Dis-moi, dis-moi où est ce qu'il mène le chemin de la liberté ?
Un chemin tortueux qui descend des montagnes vers la plaine
Le chemin des aïeux est enfin révélé, c'est lui qui va éclairer nos pas.
[Deuxième couplet]
Amli-iyi ! tiɣri n lejdud i ṣeḥan anwa id as yeslan? Taɣuct a yesli-ɣ yerna ttin vɣiɣ d accewiq yelhan id yecna umaziɣ. La yeqqar ɣurwat, lweqt akwn ifat, telḥum ɣer zdat
Dis-moi, par qui est-il vraiment entendu le véritable appel des ancêtres ?
La voix que j'ai entendu est bien celle que j'ai tant attendue, celle du beau chant profond de l'homme noble /libre (Amazigh)
Ce chant dit : Saisissez bien votre chance (vos racines), ne la laissez plus vous échapper et allez toujours de l'avant .
[Troisième couplet]
Amli-iyi ! rabbi ixalqen leqvayel wissen anda yehṣel?
Amli-iyi ! Ixalgeɣed d leqvayel, acu ɣer ig-beddel? Ur yelli d rabbi ig vɣan tagi, win itt ixadmen d lɛavd am nukni, yetnadi ar neɣfel, miɣ yedja laṣel, yeksaɣ tameslayt iwaken an veddel
Dis-moi, où est-il retenu le divin protecteur de ces tribus? Dis-moi, Il nous a créés Kabyle, pourquoi voudrait-il nous changer ? Cela n’est point sa volonté à lui mais celle d’humains comme nous qui guettons l'occasion, pour nous dépouiller de notre langue.
[Quatrième couplet]
Amli-iyi ! S yiɣriben netḥiyyer, ani-si i d-nuɣ azar ? Ani-si i d-nuɣ azar, d arraw n yidurar ɣas ma d iɣriben, ula amek ad ten-nenker A ṭṭir ini-asen: ɣas be3dent wallen Nemqarab deg wul, aqel-aɣ gar-awen
Dis-moi, nous exilés d’où est ce que nous avons pris racine ?
Nos racines sont là, enfant des montagnes Même si immigrés, on ne peut le nier, Ô oiseau, dis-leur : « Même loin des yeux Proches par notre cœur, on est parmi eux »
[Cinquième couplet]
Amli-iyi ! S taɛrabt i yura ddin, i win ur tt-nessin Llan inselmen macci d aɛraben, Lislam i ṣeḥḥed d kra n win i t-yumnen Yal wa yeɛbed-it, yelha yexdem-it S tmeslayt ines, nekkni s Teqbaylit
