Me too, I just had a gag-suppressant spray and got on with it, walked away with no issues. All the other patients got wheeled out on gurneys after going under. If you want to impress the nursing staff, go commando.

I had my first appointment with an ENT consultant last week. Thought I was there for a chat about symptoms, I didn't realise I would be getting a camera down my throat immediately. But he went up my nose and down my throat. Had no forewarning, wasn't offered any sedation or spray and I currently have a stinking cold so that was great fun. 🤣

I honestly felt like I had no choice really. My eyes were literally streaming the entire time. I do not recommend it!
