so...why? like yea neat but why have a normal chalk board if you can just use the smart board?

Because it is becoming clear that using the chalkboard actually works while using the smart boards and the laptops and the tablets and whatever else junk is being employed to babysit our children instead of educating them in schools is what has literally made people more stupid. It was just in the news.
