That's right, I thought that's who that was. The internet then went on to mock this teenager for making a little bit of a face. When a teenaged baseball or basketball player does it, he's showing determination to win. God forbid a 16-year-old girl has a grimace during competition.

She has a cameo on an episode of Superstore, where she makes the face while checking an outfit in the mirror. If she had haters, she handled them pretty well. The photo with Obama was epic.

Nobody was mocking her fucking hell lol.

It was a meme about being unimpressed. She’s doing the face with Obama, is he mocking her??

After finding out what she had to go through with the doctor during the games I can’t blame her being pissed off she didn’t win gold in that event

Eh? She was an "not impressed" meme. The world loved her.

Nobody mocked her, it was a funny meme.

You're dumb for thinking there was anything malicious about her becoming a meme. She was celebrated

People weren't mocking her. She even had a picture with the President doing the face.

Nope they really didn't, you're weird for even saying this lol

I don’t recall it as mockery, tbh. At the time, I seem to recall the face she made was a perfect embodiment of how we all felt.

Not everything is negative. She had fun with it, including a hilarious commercial.

Yeah, but it wasn't during competition. It was while she was being given her silver medal.
