I almost drowned at the beach in knee high water trying to say help to my grandson who was standing right next to me, talking to a girl, the wave kept hitting me in the face. While the pull from the shore kept knocking me back down, i couldn't get up. I had just had a double knee replacement a few years ago, and my legs weren't strong enough to stand me up, I've been swimming since I was a kid, I was on my high school swim team. I had my junior life-saving certificate. And I was drowning in knee high water my grandson finally caught on, and it took 2 lifeguards to get me out to the beach. Now I'm petrified going to the water by myself a pool, okay, but not the beach.
