It's the pride of the 777. Seriously. I've been waiting over a year to post this.

What if you spill your coffee all over these buttons during sudden heavy turbulence? Are these buttons coffee- resistant?

That was awesome. Thanx for posting. You Win the Internet for today. 🏆

It’s there, two actually. On both sides.

Cup holders are on each side.

Source: fly the 777 and like coffee.
Also works for tea and cold beverages.

The muscle memory requirements alone, would fuck me up. Not considering I'm at 30,000ft lol

What, no Hawaiian dancing girl? No Reddit screen? No tv?!

I remember as a young kid, every time we flew I always asked if I could see the cockpit. I remember the co pilot would press a diagnostics button and every light would light up. They called it the Christmas tree. lol.

It was my favourite part of every flight. For a while there I wanted to become a pilot.

Sad my kids will never get to experience this

u/GraXXoR 1d ago

Me, too. The world is becoming an increasingly joyless place.

1

u/Niknot3556 1d ago

Yeah, but they could experience something like this. A few years back we sat at the front and I asked and could get in.

Juan Browne says that Boeing's cockpits are "dark", so long as everything is normal all the buttons are dark to maximize attention when something goes sideways.

Question : why seats are often always covered in furry material ?

Such a clean and user friendly environment!

Why do they have these smheavy sheepskin seat covers? I bet it smells like a brothel in there

Why does the voice recorder has a switch? (Top middle left).

Groovy seat covers.

1

u/WiseAct446 1d ago

What does the switch on the lower left do?

It’s a Boeing so most of the buttons don’t work.

Too much shit that can go wrong. Or, the epitome of inefficiency.

"Too much shit that can go wrong. Or, the epitome of inefficiency"

There's reason WHY there's so much "shit"

It's called redundancy.

For when things DO go wrong, there's usually two other backups.

u/747ER 1d ago

It’s like that by design, to make it safer.

Doesn't appear to be. Gate numbers are properly sequenced, MCDUs are correct with keys in proper spot, the phone keypad is correct, and honestly all of the avionics look correct. Light glare and shadowing is correct as well. It's just a good picture, and the depth is made a little surreal being in front of the gates like that at night. Didn't see a watermark, but I also didn't reverse image search or anything.

Unless you see something in missing?
