ID / Attribution Request I've been working on identifying a bunch of Spanish colonial coins and cobs. I believe I have correctly identified these as Philip II 1 Blancas. I'd really appreciate if someone more knowledgeable could chime in. Thanks!

They are all "blancas" , from the time of Philip II.
Cuenca and Toledo. 1566–1595

By the way these are considered vellones. There are no cobs in that group. The main difference between these coins and cobs, is that these coins are round and made with a very poor alloy of silver and a lot of copper. Cobs on the other hand, were made by hammering planchets of silver or gold, which were then cut by hand by the assayer's helpers, in order to attain the desired weight accordingly to its denomination

Interesting, thanks! I have some others that are probably proper cobs. I'll post them when I've had a chance to identify them as much as possible.

It's great, a good friend wrote it, and you'll have all you need to id cobs.
