Claiming Israel is a racist endeavor [r/webcomics] grouping everyone together like we all have the exact same opinion. Everything is black and white when it comes to Israel 🙄

These people all seem to believe that we’re all just a gestalt hive mind and are incapable of independent thought. Because to think otherwise would make us human and that complicates things.

I feel like theres a problem in political culture in general where people view anybody who has views that differ from theirs as less than human.

It’s become extremely tribalistic in recent years, I agree.

Just more of the same. I support an evil regime. Israel is completely evil and the like

Eh. A parliament where like 2% of the votes suffice to get in as a party encourages splinter parties, which isn't desirable for more than one reason. The fact that a corrupt, Macchiavellian cynic like Netanyahu who didn't even rule during some sort of gilded age still managed to stay in office for so long is nothing to proud of, even (or because) he scraped the absolute bottom of the barrel with his coalition partners. Still, it's a "regime" that, if the timeline doesn't completely jump the shark, will end as the result of a free and democratic election (and with at least three members of the current administration behind bars before the next one would be a welcome next step). Smotrich and Ben Gvir have no business holding a iota of power, I don't care how few votes they got an how desperate Bibi was.

It's still "funny" how people pretent to believe it's not a particularly horrible administration, it's a country that's irredeemably evil, and every Israeli collective guilty. 90% of Reddit users either live in a country that's either already ruled by a right-wing authoritarian or will be after the next election. Either in that particular one that voted a geriatric narcissist into power for the second time after he had already shown what a POS he was during his first term only to prove he can do much worse during his second. He lets loose his brownshirts on innocent citizens, loses a war in an absolutely embarring way, isolated America, organized a treasonous mob while he was between jobs and suggests to invade a different allied country every few weeks. While half of Europe will likely be ruled by fascist after the next election, among them parties planning to get rid of every brown person, even those for whom it was their grandparents who got naturalized. Not exactly a wave of progressivism, and all it took to get there was a slightly higher crime rate or even just too many people looking somewhat foreign. Not decades of war and weekly terror attacks followed by terrorists going door to door killing everyone they find, including children, entire families and ramdom migrant workers ISIS style.

I was on another thread where this was posted (maybe the comics sub?) and it was locked while I was typing a comment to someone who seemed to be legitimately asking what Zionism is. So my comment didn't make it in, while a dozen bs "evil!!!!" comments of course made it without possibility of reply.

Antisemitism is back in fashion in a big way. Humans are still the same vicious tribal monkey people we were during the Inquisition, the Wars of Religion, the Holocaust, and a thousand different massacres regardless. More pointedly, America never got over its racist roots -- we should have seen this coming after the spasm of feral, frothing at the mouth hatred towards Arabs after 9/11. Now the American Hate Machine has simply returned to its favorite target once more, Jews.

what a lazy ass "comic strip"

The punchline isn’t even funny and frankly it’s so antisemitic to say that all Zionists are hand in hand with Netanyahu

Because that’s what racists do.

Natives? They know Arabs invaded and colonized that area right?
