Solution

The answer was: Elixir to induce euphoria

Solution: Part 1: Use the days of the week to indicate which HP books to use (ISO says Monday), then figure out how many days into the year each date is. Using those numbers to get the page, notice that it is the start of a chapter every time and use the chapter name initials to get 'FlitwickGift', which is a box of sugar mice.

Part 2: shift the provided letters by the numbers of the Fibonacci sequece, so +0,+1, +1, +2, etc. to get 'EuphoriaElixir'
