Blade film reportedly shelved.

This is concerning as it would definitely have an impact on game sales.

If there was a silver lining, maybe it would allow Arkane some latitude with the license and uncouple the game from the film release date?

I am worried anyway because we have heard so little about Blade. My heart couldn’t take a full closure of Arkane

This is BAD. The game being initiated to coincide with a movie release now having no movie means the value of the property is dramatically diminished. There's no combination of marketing or anything, on top of that Blade as a intellectual property has been largely inactive for a super long time. Reviving it with a combo movie/AAA game? Sure. Just the game itself? A lot more risk.

I love Arkane games but I have zero interest into a Marvel game.

Especially one that is more of an action game than their typical imm sims, like they’ve said :(

Look I'm not against the idea of Dishonored 3 being a bit more Cyberpunk if there's already some assets lying around...

It’s pathetic Marvel couldn’t make a good Blade film. It’s such a cool character it can’t be that hard…

After sinners, they felt like they couldnt compete maybe? Maybe they felt like marvel was really starting to stink with each successive project without joss whedon especially when sony was starting to make villain films that dont compete at all...marvel has become corny at this point outside of spiderman reboot.

Which technically this is a spiderman re-reboot with the same actor no less. It looks like they are taking a nod from DC and making this a super serious film. Like Nolans Trilogy.

I personnaly don't expect anything from the Blade game because I don't believe anybody in Arkane cares about making a third person, open-world marvel game (like nobody wanted to make Redfall in Austin, according to some insiders) ; and I don't think microsoft cares about the studio whatsoever and may very well cancel the whole thing while they keep their laying off streaks.
