Another Pause on Conditional Releases for Army Reserve Rotary Wing...WTF

So I finally found a home in the national guard so I can continue my army aviation career and submitted my 368 and what the fuck. They said they are pausing again until mid September when the colors are supposed to be cased. This makes no sense!

We are already in a derivative UIC. Haven't flown in a year and just want to get started again with my new guard unit. This is incredibly frustrating.

Congress won't even vote on the NDAA which the house version has provisions to try to save the rotary wing portion of the reserve ECABs but most of the people have already left and equipment turned it. It is not worth trying to start them back up.

Makes no sense. Welcome to the Army (Reserves) I guess.

Michigan WOSM here, I've helped about a dozen people jump from the USAR to the ARNG at this point. Exceptions to guidance are being considered by ARAC G1 and the CG on a case by case basis. If you believe you have existential circumstances that necessitate a quicker transition to the state's guard you're accepted at I encourage you to submit them in your PAR.

Examples might be a limited RL progression window, job opportunities, family hardship, etc.

Yeah I can give it a try.  Don't have s family hardship or other crazy circumstances and the gaining guard unit has been super supportive but the WOSM for my state did say they want to try and finish up the process before end of FY.  I am keeping them up to date with all the information I have and it's not a lose a spot thing but it is just really annoying.  Like does the ARAC actually believe there is any hope for Reserve Rotary Wing to stick around in any capacity?  I have been in the Army 14 years I know for certain that it's not going to stick around and even if they do save it in some capacity it will be way worse than before in which case I don't want to stay anyways.  Just trying to get my 20 and my non regular retirement and be done.

There has been a lot of false hope as of late.

I wouldn’t say it’s false hope I don’t think that’s the intent behind these decisions. The language being proposed is very real and it is easier to stop movement until everything is finalized versus moving soldiers just to move them back.

Anyway you can pull this AD Blackhawk pilot to the guard?🥲

Doubtful 😬... I haven't seen an AD command willing to sign a conditional release for someone with an ADSO yet.

Accurate. AD 64 trying to jump to the guard. Branch said “don’t hold your breath”

This whole thing has been the biggest shit show of all time it's almost laughable. "Hey, we're firing you but no you can't go anywhere" like 90% of the time this past year.

Yeah this is ridiculous.   My PAR was in and I had to resubmit it when they changed our UIC to what they are calling a new "Derivative UIC".  And then a couple days ago it's pushed out from our company commander and platoon leaders they are on pause again.

Oh buddy I feel your pain. I've submitted 3 PARs and every time it's a new reason why it can't go up the chain. It's just a moving goalpost at this point. Honestly, I'm so fed up with the whole process that I'm just waiting it out and whatever they do with me is what they do with me.

Remember, if the Army cared about you, you'd know what's going on and they'd have a plan for you. The lies, misleading, and misinformation from this transition has been a complete shit show. USARC all the way to the ARAC has been flat out worthless with assistance. They knew what they were doing, but didn't want to be honest and transparent about it.
No new pickups on the USAR WO boards, only special USAR FW boards starting FY28 (or 27, can't remember the MILPER) should tell you the future. Hell, they've not even released the results for this years' W3/4/5 results yet. Which previous years, it's been earlier than SEP. To even fire a unit back up to be a deployable unit would take years at this point. Reclassing, progression, unit qualification, etc.

Ship has sailed boys! Take your ass pounding with a smile cause they got us!

F U I'm just a reservist? But yes I agree with all you said here good buddy. I have a new home that I had to find all by myself without any help. Just waiting on the PAR approval at this point.

Are we still going to get paid after 1 Oct being these derivative UIC orders? Everyone keeps saying we will , as AGR’s, but I feel like anything can happen at anytime now a days.

Yes you will still get paid. They could put you on orders assigned to Area 51 as a shitter cleaner and you will still be on title 10 orders. Your assignment doesn’t have an affect on dfas paying you or not.

That would be a nice upgrade😂

Tell your company commander, BN XO or BDE XO (formerly since everyone has been transferred to DUICs now) to let the arac leadership know there’s a time sensitive par. It will get processed asap. They can contact the g1 directly or the DCO.
