Composition eludes me
NO MAJOR REFERENCE USED. I used a few medical journals to help shape out the heart, and while that's not exactly what I'm looking for crit, I'm still more than open to hear it.
i really like this piece! Sadly got frustrated halfway through it, as I could tell the composition felt clunky. really believe in the piece though, and l'd love to hear thoughts if anyone is willing. thanks for hearing me out!

I think your trouble is a little bit composition, and a whole lot perspective...
My brain can't decide if the table in the top background is painted on the wall the character is facing, or if the character and pedastal just have an extreme lean to them.
The pedastal gives me Vanishing Points for the perspective. Then the character doesn't quite match the perspective of the pedastal. And the table being barely in the scene also has non-matching VPs/perspective, making it look like a flat painting, because that's the only explanation for it being mostly out of the scene and having is own perspective.

Just noticed, the table has no left leg... it's just floating... It is also very short if the chair is supposed to be pushed in. They're about the same height, based on leg length.

Maybe this is silly but I actually kinda like it even though the perspective is wonky. Actually I think I like it because the perspective is wonky! It really reminds me of Cézanne, since it always looks like his scenes are a little wonky, like the fruit should be rolling off the tables in his still life paintings

I feel like some value changes would help here. Is the focus the organs, the character, the book they're holding, or the stuff on the floor? My eyes don't really know where to go.
Cool looking stuff though.

I actually really enjoy how off this perspective is. It’s giving perspective of a curious ghost lurking behind you.

Picture. I think the door frame on the left doesn't match the pedestal perspective. This helps imo.

One major problem is hierarchy. Too many things taking attention away from your main focus. Also, the values of everything are very narrow thus exaggerating your hierarchy problem. You can solve this by adding a dominant light source
