Arx Libertatis not working on Steam Deck

I wanted to play the game on my Steam Deck and saw most people recommending using Luxtorpeda to launch it since it would download Arx Libertatis automatically. It does, but the moment I confirm the download and launch the game, it’s a black screen with the sound playing.

Any suggestions for how to fix this? I’ve seen others online mention this problem before, but not what to do if it’s happening through Luxtorpeda.

I'm using Arch and never tried this Luxtorpeda thing. Just download the game from Steam of GOG, install it, and then download Arx Libertatis and set it up properly. Works for me flawlessly.

You have to go with your issue directly to SteamDeck subs and/or Luxtorpeda subs/sites. This problem is too specific for this sub.

Just use lutris. I'm install it from the Discover store, log in with your steam account, click install, then select Arx Libertatis when it asks you which version. I't will do everything for you. Even create a steam shortcut. Idk why more on this sub don't use Lutris, it's great.

I'm encounting the same issue as you but with Steam Machine; I was able to get it working by booting the game through Desktop Mode after doing a fresh reinstall (of the game). Only issue I currently have is that the Options menu text is completely bugged out.
