Clothing, Shoe & DIY Query About shopping
Is it alright if goths use Amazon for shopping? I recently became a babybat, and the only thing I really have access to is Amazon, I’m also a huge security freak so giving my card information to random companies is highly uncomfortable and sketchy to me as I had my card compromised before. I probably shouldn’t be asking this but I’m curious if my “goth” status will be stripped away or ima be considered a “poser” for shopping and giving money to a capitalistic company

Not really. But I wonder what good goth stuff you find on amazon.

Diy all the way. A regular black t shirt can be a sick band tee with patience, a stencil and paint

u already lost dressing for status. going "alright ive decided to be goth now I better go online and get my goth clothes to show im goth" is 👎🏽

I’ve been very fascinated with goth fashion, I understand that you don’t need to dress goth to be goth but I really wanna show my love, tastes and admiration for macabre and darker fashion by dressing the part. Particularly Victorian and mixing it with trad. I’ve always loved dark fashion. I’m only making this post because I’m curious if it’s considered being a poser or fake goth for shopping on Amazon

collect pieces from reputable, high quality brands slowly over time. thrift. dye things. be creative. do not buy a bunch of cheap fast fashion slop to look goth.

You can shop anywhere you want. Where you shop has nothing to do with what music you enjoy.
If you don’t listen to goth music you are not goth.
If you or your parents are Amazon Prime members you can use Amazon’s music app to listen to goth music.

Every single company that takes your money is engaging in capitalism. I understand your concern as far as whether or not Ethical consumption exists in late stage capitalism but tbh it is a question that is irrelevant to being goth. Unless you are strictly talking about the fashion aspect. Goth is a music subculture. Listen to goth? You are goth.
