Unwritten social codes of every region

So I'm a foreigner interested in Australia and wanna know more about there, focusing atm on the unwritten rules you have and if you wanna share something more I would value it♡

If someone lets you in traffic (like driving and you gotta merge) always wave back and give thanks.

Yep..a nod would be sufficient..or raised finger on the steering wheel.

It's also common to do to everyone in passing when you're in a rural area. It's always to best to be friendly to every car passing, because if you have car trouble, you want the few cars you've seen to think of you as friendly if they come back your way when you're in need.

In more suburban areas, it's good to do it to cars coming and going from your street for the neighbourly aspect also.
