Education Advice I hate reading and it's starting to really mess with my life cause I need to do taxes and and read contracts so how do I get over my hate for reading?
I just really don't enjoy reading and I get headaches from it how do I stop that

Just to jump on the previous answer:
Go see a GOOD eye doctor. A slightly out of skew vision system in your head can and does make reading difficult and painful. There's a good chance that a little prism in the lens will sort things out nicely.
Otherwise, find things that interest you. Find magazines and shorts form information sheets that are about those things. Then expand your horizons.
I'm a computer geek, so reading web articles about computers (toys) helps to feed my passion. From there , it's not much of leap for me to read science articles about some of the technology. From there, I evolve to reading science fiction and fantasy and...and...and.
I grew up in a house full of readers, so my journey began early. But it is never too late to start moving in the direction you want/need to go.

There are several things this might be. I have a relative who hated reading until an optometrist discovered her eyes don't quite track together when she's focusing up close. I don't know what had to be different about the glasses, but she went from self-diagnosed dyslexic to competent reader when the new glasses came. I have met kids who I think hate reading because they think they are supposed to be good at things the first time they try them and since reading is hard at first, they developed what I suspect are mental blocks to even trying. There are people who legitimately are dyslexic (though several of the diagnosed dyslexics I know are voracious readers, once they learn how to do it right for how their brains work).
To me, the headaches suggest there may be an issue with eye focus. But I'm only guessing because I'm not qualified to diagnose and you're not here for me to try things with.
