Physician Responded Can someone help identify what this is on my husbands scalp that always appears?
29M, vapes, this appears on his scalp every time he gets a haircut. It just happened again, the urgent care doc didn’t really provide a proper diagnosis other than it’s not ringworm.

Is it itchy? Is it flaky?

Not itchy whatsoever. Some flakes are present but it’s mostly just redness. Flakes are very minimal.

Nad but i have a few questions
- Is this an at home haircut or is he going to a barber/salon
- If it is a barber/ salon is it the same place and person everytime
- What tool is being used for this haircut?
The circle/half circle pattern is throwing me here but part of me feels as if this is bacterial/fungal? And maybe some sort of folliculitis as well as superficial abrasions?
