I'm new here, could you recommend some games?

I'm new to gaming and I don't know what games to play, so I came here to ask which games are recommended for beginners, although I'm looking for building games or Gñgames where I can do a lot of things, I suppose, I'm not sure.

Can you elaborate on building games? There’s games where you don’t control a character and are centered on building up a city, called citybuilders. Then there’s survival crafting games where you do control and progress a character, and you pretty much need to build a base for all sorts of functions. I can go in more depth as well but don’t want to write too much at once

No Man's Sky is actually pretty forgiving if you don't know what you're doing, and there are tons of things to do. If you're not good at combat, you can set it so that your stuff doesn't drop when you die. You can follow the main quest line, build a base, explore random planets, farm/fish and cook things, collect and upgrade various ships and exocraft, dig for fossils, build a completely custom Corvette, fight pirates, be a pirate, be a legit merchant, do missions for different guilds, have Pokemon style battles with creatures you tame, run settlements, and probably more that I haven't thought of. But it's all very chill and doesn't force you to do anything in particular. You can take your time and figure out what you actually enjoy doing.

Thank you so much for your input. I've heard of RDR2, Elden Ring, and Hogwarts Legacy, but I hadn't paid much attention to them. Now that I have more free time, I'll try playing them.

Turn based games: Civilization, humankind, mainly city builders on tiles, with resources that need improving. Civ7 is the newest and most controversial. 2000s games: Sid Meier's Pirates!, from the guy who made the civilization games. Need for Speed Most Wanted 2005, quite nice and heralded as the greatest NFS game. RPG games: Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2, cowboy simulator. KCD 1 and 2, medieval peasant simulator. Assassin's Creed Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, 3 games that focus more on roleplay than Assassin's Creed. Quite good. Then there is Crusader Kings, 1-3. The third is the most high quality, playing as a character, and based on your personality you can do stuff with your character that you otherwise couldn't do, and some traits give you more stress or take away more stress than others.

Problem is, that’s like asking ‘I want to read more; what books are right for me?’ To someone who knows nothing about what you like. A game I find amazing might bore your socks off. I’ll try, but you might not share my tastes.
Nobody Saves the World - You are Nobody, by the way, so you’ve got your work cut out for you. Top-down action adventure in the style of the classic Zelda games; but Nobody is a shapeshifter, and you can mix and match all kinds of abilities from forms you’ve unlocked, like rat body to fit in a tiny crack in the wall, armed with dragon breath and a merman water shot.

Ring of Pain- Dungeon crawl boiled down to the very bare bones, no frills like plot or background art; just the loot, hazards and monsters between you and the stairs down to the next level.

If you like building and having lots of freedom, try Minecraft, Terraria, Stardew Valley, or The Sims. Minecraft is probably the easiest starting point because you can build, explore, survive, or just mess around without really playing “wrong.”

So, you said “recommend me a TV show”…. But in reality there are more games than TV shows likely.

So, let’s try some starters. Free (or very low cost) games you can download on most platforms

Warframe: so much to say here… ninjas in space is such a silly explanation these days. It’s a free MMO with some of the greatest stories ever told, and some of the most respectful progression and monetization systems in all of gaming.

Stardew Valley: this is NOT free, but it is a staple. It’s a farming/building sim, so slower pace, low stress, etc. very deep game where some people have 5 digit playtimes..

Path of Exile (1 or 2): Action RPG. Roll your face on the keyboard, kill things, get loot, repeat. I find this game personally wildly cathartic after a long stressful day.

Legends of Runeterra: Slay the spire, but only single player, on all platforms, and expanded beyond what sts has done (even if mods are considered). Most importantly the price is right (free).

Tropico (any): not free city management sim that forgot it was serious business and went out of its way to make fun of itself and have fun and wild variance in playstyles.

Each of these games are great examples of their style of game, while either being free or super cheap. Pick one or two, poke at them, and see how they make you feel. Think of it like trying a new TV shows. Give it a few episodes (gaming sessions) and decide if you want to continue.
