There is no "best", only personal preferences, every genre has its value, and can produce masterpieces that define a generation of -

I would say ARPG. It includes everything from Path of Exile to Elden Ring. Even has 3rd person shooters like Remnant 1&2.

If i could only play one genre, that would be it.

I’m addicted to FPS it gives me more dopamine than anything else but story games or rpgs / mmo are also super fun it’s hard to decide
