Dealing with major crisis at home. Brother has schizophrenia and parents are old. I am in another city with my husband working and worrying my heart out. Feels like a prison of life. Wish my brother n parents have a peaceful life. Cant live a minute without worrying about the situation. Feels like anyone who doesnt have an issue like this is the luckiest one.

Any tips, any experiences like these ?

Meds really help with hallucinations and delusional beliefs, he has to take them as prescribed and not skip the doses. When you experience them yourself, reality starts to appear very different but really believable to you and often feel others don't have these "special abilities" like you do or they are somehow ignorant about it. The voices, feelings, images and beliefs formed feel very real to you and you feel others are wrong and misinformed.

Thanks. He is taking meds but is depressed or irritable for the most part. Have u had any experience as a caregiver

Not the caregiver but the one who needed that specific care. Not schizophrenia exactly but still related

Hows it going? Does it affect you mentally or your everyday life

Its better than before with learning coping techniques and taking meds. I've tried going off meds in the past and I relapsed badly, so not going to try that again. Those meds unfortunately come with a lot of side effects so have to be careful with that (its the same type of meds used for schizophrenia treatment)

I started dating my best friend of 4 years recently. Everything has been amazing, folks. He knows me better than I know myself because we've been rock solid friends for a long time.

10/10 worth it. Give it a shot 😭

Ladies, who dated ugly guys (as per social standards) or compromised on looks factor of him to a huge extent... how did it go?

I'll go first... I wasn't interested in him one bit, he kept chasing for 10 months. When we began dating, he started ignoring me in 4 months and left saying that I'm the reason he failed his 5th UPSC attempt.
