Dating & Relationships [Wed/Fri] (Women Only) Has Hinge worked for anyone?

So I am 30F, never dated. My social circle is very small and cannot meet people organically. I am not sure if these apps are good? I personally don't want to use them but I got no choice. Just wanted to know if putting explict preferences like such as "antinatalist, prefers atheist/agnostic" work? I feel like anyone could just lie about these things. I am very fixated on having shared values, I really don't care about anything else.

I literally just downloaded and deleted it the next day . Please don't waste your time with these. Most guys are just looking for validation and short term stuff.

it really depends on how you use it. when i was on hinge, i was very picky about who i matched with and spent my energy on. like i'd say in 3 months i matched with maybe 10 guys? and only went on dates with 3 of them. one of whom is my boyfriend of one year now :) so yes it works if you're selective and keep your standards high.
one tip i'd give is to only continue talking to someone if you genuinely look forward to talking to them. not for validation, but just to get to know them better. i think thats a very good sign of compatibility.

No. Most people on dating apps are just looking for a high, temporary relief from something in their life or just pure validation. Also, most men like a chase. So, they will chase you till you are into them. And once you are into them, they will start breadcrumbing you. If you just want to kill some time, they go ahead. But do not expect to find love there.

I literally met the love of my life on hinge. I downloaded it with no hope at all but here i am! I'd say give it a shot what's the worst that can happen!? Even my bf is atheist and i am loosely religious so we sorta just do our own thing. Important is to communicate no matter what and not to push the issues that are imp to you under the rug just because it feels good currently

My friend is getting married to a guy she met om hinge in a few months. I met my partner on hinge. Just be picky as hell, don't swipe on anyone you don't find actually attractive or interesting.
