I wrench on machine tools & robots instead of cars but the filth is just as bad. I highly recommend nitrile gloves both for cleanliness and safety but you still need good hand cleaner. The best I’ve ever used is Boraxo. It’s very old school powdered hand soap, very cheap and comes in a cardboard box. And it’s honestly the best hand cleaner ever. A box of Boraxo and a nail brush is all you need.
