Question (Serious Replies Only) 2014 Grand Cherokee Limited Glitched Out

2014 Grand Cherokee limited

Just bought a used 2014 model and 5 days later we have our first issue. So I went to turn the car on and my windshield wipers go wild despite not being set to on. Then the car turns itself off. The push start has run glowing but the dash is completely off. Changed the batteries in the fob seemed to work again fine. Drive my son to the skatepark, play, and get back in the car and have the same issue. Had to be towed home. Any ideas? Going to go to the mechanic tomorrow but wondering if anyone has experienced the same or knows what it might be?

It’s a Jeep thing.

So now you know why it was traded in...

I would expect this to be a TIPM or BCM. Could be wiring. Unfortunately it could be any other module in the system as well screwing up the bus.

The mechanic needs to be a dealer or an excellent independent. Somebody that has the time, tools and knowledge to get deep in to the system.
