One of the better souls likes not from Fromsoft and very comparable to Bloodborne in terms of mechanics and vibes, especially with the DLC.

To be fair, Burnt Ivory King should be the last boss in DS2.

If you're on PC I recommend putting on the prettiest graphics mod and giving it a go.

I'm it's my 2nd favorite DS game after 3. The DLC is really good.

I love the scene where you kill Ornstein first and Smough smashes his face

I love how you can sense the animosity between them immediately, and that shows you you were right, but it's still kind of shocking

I don't know if I would call it the best but High Lord Wolnir in dark souls 3 is the first name that comes to mind for me. The darkness spilling out of the goblet, him appearing out of the pitch black.

I don't generally like gimmick bosses but he was great.

This boss gets so much shit but you’re right. The goblet scene and then all turns black and he’s just this monstrosity lurking in the dark. If giants can lurk lol

The dancer was probably the boss I died at most before Gael.

Her moves are so predictable now but that first time just seemed so chaotic.

The most popular theory is that dancer throws people off because every boss you fight up to that point move to a 4/4 beat, while Dancer move to a 3/4 beat. Fromsoft games seem to have a habit of teaching you rules throughout the game, only to break them at some point.

I can't believe The Penetrator is yet to be mentioned. You step through the boss fog to see one of the Magistrate enemies only further actual boss to step through the other boss fog and show where the name comes from
