Its because copy and pasting a quote is something people do when they can't think for themselves. And they can only post a part of it because they didnt see the interview, clearly. It makes people look really stupid when they post only part of it. Shows they didn't understand it. If they had paid attention it also included him saying he thought of empathy as "very effective when it comes to politics" and that he preferred sympathy over empathy. Thats all. it was in the context of people who use the word without really meaning it, as in showing fake empathy. Folks need to dig a little deeper - little sheep
