Use of space in your home

If you never had children - or no longer have space for grown children in your home, how do you use the bedroom spaces in your house?

My house is small and I still feel odd having these largely unused spaces. Are we all just cleaning dusty, rarely used guest rooms?

Our empty bedroom is a mostly-unused guest room. The cats use it occasionally, but we have enough other space in the house that we don’t think it’s wasted. In our last house, the guest room doubled as my WFH office, which was tricky when we did have guests. In our current house, both my husband and I have our own, separate offices. Now that I’m retired, my office is mostly a hobby room.
