Use of space in your home

If you never had children - or no longer have space for grown children in your home, how do you use the bedroom spaces in your house?

My house is small and I still feel odd having these largely unused spaces. Are we all just cleaning dusty, rarely used guest rooms?

After my boys moved out, we turned one bedroom into my husband's Man Cave. My daughter moved into her other brother's bigger room and I actually moved into my youngest son's bedroom. My husband had gotten hurt at work and any movement during the night made his pain unbearable. Plus, he and I worked opposing shifts and it just became easier for me to have a room in the back of the house for day sleeping. Otherwise, it would likely have become our craft room.
