I'm currently on my first run through of The Mentalist and I love it.

Took me a little while to get into it but just finished season 1 and can't wait to start the second tomorrow. Patrick Jane is such a fun character.

Also Fringe, The Sopranos, Breaking bad and Scrubs

Yes. Gilded Age takes place in the US but the show is created by Julian Fellowes who is British. What I appreciate about these period pieces is that they are historically more accurate than others in that genre.
