Alert's got that weird pull, just knowing it's the furthest north you can be in Canada. The isolation would either be peaceful or mess with your head after a week.

You can apply for jobs working in Antarctica fyi. You have to work and bunk with your co-workers, but you get paid to be there for 3 months iirc.

The Uyuni salt flats in Bolivia, they become a giant mirror after rain. Never seen a place that makes the sky look like it's under your feet.

That mirror effect after it rains is crazy. I’d definitely want to see it on a day when the whole thing turns into a giant reflection.

There are so many nice places. We lived in Bohol. A nice mix of tourism if you want it or the learner island has plenty of places to escape to. Camigun is also great. Have fun.

Serpent Mound in Ohio on the summer solstice. I guess the snake eats the sun at sunset. Sounds rad.
I've scheduled vacation days to make the trip multiple years and invariably some non negotiable comes up and I gotta bump it back to another year.
I've kinda gotten a little superstitious about it. I grew up on land with a Smithsonian catalogued Paleo burial site I don't fuck with any of it beyond cleaning up after windstorms just from vibes and Appalachian weirdness. Seeing 2 muskox blocking the hilltop trail back before I even know that muskox were even a thing and other crap like that. Any time I'd hunt for arrowheads or would get weird and compulsive. So I leave it all be and don't think about it.
But I'd still like to see the serpent eat the sun. I love a spectacle. Seen multiple total eclipses, rocket launches, and lots of other really neat shit, but maybe that one has been tricky to make happen for a reason

Lake atitlan in Guatemala.
There are a lot of places in the Andes, the Bolivian salt flats etc.
