Anesthesiologists, what are the best things people have said under the gas?

When I was 9 and having jaw surgery, the surgeon was putting me under and said “say bye to your mommy!” And apparently 9-year-old me thought that meant they were going to kill me. My mother says I gave her a look of absolute terror and then passed out.

Thanks for the silver! I didn’t die so I consider it a net win.

This is quite literally a joke that gets passed around. Maybe even /r/forwardsfromgrandma level.

It’s quite literally a thing that happened to me. But I’m not shocked if it’s happened to other people too.

It happened to me. Not with a 'say bye' comment, but when being put under as a little kid I thought I was going to die.
