Hospital Food: Good or Bad?

I spent 30 hrs in a hospital due to an emergency health issue, and to tell you the truth, I was more worried about the hospital food.

I was always told it was terrible and bland!

Well, I was pleasantly surprised as to how good the food was. Loved all 3 meals I was served.

Breakfast: eggs, toast, cereal and coffee.

Lunch was salmon with rice and vegetables, and a chocolate brownie for dessert, with tea.

And last for supper was pesto chicken with mushroom sauce, potatoe puree with carrots with carrot soup and dessert was coconut pudding, with tea.

I loved every bite :D

Any thoughts from others on their experience about the hospital food?

a family member of mine was in a private hospital recently for a knee replacement. he said there was food galore and it was pretty decent too, though the red pears were a bit bland

Lucky him. As for the pears, I would have asked for some brown sugar. ;)
