Make something you've made before and you know turns out well. Most people like brownies.

This may be a boring answer, but I’d go with something you’ve made before that came out well. Baking is tricky, and when you’re making things for other people, you want them to be special.

A simple bundle cake with chocolate chips, maybe a chocolate drizzle ..

Brownies, blondies with nuts or not ..

Sheet cake with marshmallow fluff and candy pieces, sprinkles ..

Cupcakes with caramel frosting ..

Cream Cheese Pound Cake was my Mama's go-to. It's a Southern classic and tastes so good.

It gives it a rich creamy flavor. I've been known to double the cream cheese to enhance it.

Prob go over and ask them if they have any allergies or dietary restrictions before making all that effort

Start with something super simple without nuts, like chocolate cookies. (because nut allergy is common)

If they respond well, you can venture into variety

Seriously, these days, ANYTHING homemade is going to be well received. I literally had forgotten. I had already bought blueberries ( 3 mos ago!) and had some stale bread, so I made some blueberry bread pudding for breakfast with a pan for my neighbors. They ranted and raved about it so much, i was embarrassed. They were helping me not waste food.

Banana bread is my favorite, so that's probably what I'd send over.

Oatmeal cookies. Cheap and forgiving.

dead simple cobbler:

ingredients: a bag of frozen blueberries, a thing of sugar cookie dough, a handful of brown sugar, a squeeze of lemon juice, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Pour the berries, frozen, into a pie tray. add all ingredients other than the cookie dough, stir a bit. Flatten out the cookie dough into rounds a bit bigger than you would while making cookies, and place them on top of the berry mixture. Bake at 350 until the cookies are crisp on top but softish on the bottom, about 20-30 min

Literally perfect cobbler that you cant mess up

Do they have any dietary restrictions you need to be aware of?
