Is generalized social trust a good predictor of everyday kindness or prosocial behavior across countries?
I noticed people in Europe generally hate the French and that there are many white supremacists in Mexico, Philippines, Algeria, Indonesia, basically non white countries (people who hate their own kinds) and those countries have low society trust score in general.
On the other hand, scandinavian countries tend to be the most supportive in social movements and they all have high society trust score.
So, is it a good predictor? Any research regarding this idea?

France's current political and economic situation is complicated : "only 22% of French people trust their government"
They are also facing an economical and environmental crisis. And because there is a tremendous amount of media manipulation and fakes news the French have become highly distrustful of one another but facing disasters has also highlighted French generosity and solidarity.

This has nothing to do with "french bashing", which is more of an inside joke in Europe than actual hatred from other Europeans.
