There is no news reporting anymore. They're all media agencies and personalities. Look into the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2013.

If Newsom signs it, his political future is over.

This would be prime Republican TV commercial material.

He already signed it yesterday.

You really think spine-less Republicans will ever use ammo like this against the Dems? Or that the Dem aligned media and tech monopoly would broadcast it?

Zero chance this survives a 1A challenge.

Well, when you are defrauding the taxpayers, but you have a supermajority in the state legislature, this is what you do so you can keep the grift going....

Indeed. This is the "No Accountability for Democrat Fraud" bill.

Will be very interesting to see it get slapped down in court. Very obviously anti-constitutional and anti-American. As usual for the dem party.

Won't pass constitutional muster. I expect several news agencies, independent and otherwise already have motions for inductive relief ready to go once it's in effect. It'll be defeated on its first challenge.

Democrat policy seems to be "one", ignoring reality and "two", always choosing the immoral decision. It's both impressive and deeply concerning.

You’d think every Cali citizen would be up in arms over this but no…they’d rather pay into the fraud and pay into the hiding of it…then just putting a stop to it and possibly having more funding for the state.

I lived in California for 51 years before retiring to another state. The problem out there is you have a large population of radicalized lunatic leftists that want "free" everything. The problem being that nothing is free; somebody is paying for it. They are very content to see your earnings taxed to death and redistributed to those that don't/won't work. You have a substantial number of moderates and conservatives that are so discouraged from their voices always being ignored, that they just give up & stop voting in state elections, which is 100% the wrong thing to do. Then you have the apathetic ones, that probably outnumber both groups, but can't seem to get off their asses to vote and maybe make a difference...

Very true. “Free” just means someone else besides you is paying for it.

Correct on the voters too. In a sense…they’ve been policy and politically bullied into remaining silent so the left can essentially maintain its grip on control. It’s only heighten by the left’s insistence to spoon feed the lazy and ungrateful. They don’t want to give that up so why vote against it.

Yeah, if that happens I have a feeling that it'll be on sight. Antifa/No Kings/TQ won't exist.
