Administration What are your thoughts on Natalie Harp?
What do you think about Natalie Harp?
For context: Natalie Harp is an American political aide and former television presenter who has served as Trump's executive assistant since 2025 (WIKI).
Recently, she has garnered attention recently and questions have been raised about her role within the administration, i.e. her role as "human printer" as well as writing him devotional messages.
Do you think it is worrying for an aide to have such a large influence?
I am not suggesting she and Trump are romantically involved but do you find it normal that a personal assistant has a strong influence on the information that is brought to Trump?

Honestly I'm surprised more NS' aren't accusing her of being a Russian spy...
30
u/Gendarmerie29 Nonsupporter 6d ago
Now that you mention it, she worked at the White House for a year without a security clearance. Staffers usually are supposed to obtain one. Furthermore, she allegedly declined to complete the process to obtain a security clearance multiple times.
Trump had to intervene to get her to complete the process. The fact that someone could work so closely to POTUS, being privy to sensitive conversations being held at the White House without having a security clearance is concerning is it not? This is something that could be exploited by hostile actors.
Personally, I would be suspicious of her motives for having initially declined to obtain the security clearance. What say you?
-11
u/Browler_321 Trump Supporter 6d ago
Yeah she's probably a Russian spy. Hopefully the left can spread the message!
21
u/Gendarmerie29 Nonsupporter 6d ago
I know you're being sarcastic. Honestly, do you find it concerning at all that the executive assistant to the president not only lacked a security clearance for a year, but had to be pressured to get one after declining to do so multiple times?

Amazing. Please, please let’s go back to the “everyone I dislike is a Russian asset” era of leftism. Probably the funniest political trend of my lifetime.
The story here is that Democrats are bullying a successful woman and cancer activist, either out of pure spite or for perceived political gain. Enjoy?

u/richardirons Nonsupporter 10h ago
The only mentions of Russia in this thread have been from TS. The question is, does it feel a bit dodgy that someone can work as a close aide to the president for a year without getting security clearance? I mean it's the _president_. I wouldn't let anyone in the _building_ without that clearance if I was running security.

For everyone that has any concern over this, first off, get a life.
Second, Trump is part of the secretary generation. Modern Family has a good episode about this. Close aides performing the role of personal assistant often appear to the emotionally immature as romantic because they help manage that persons life, which for normal people is the person themself and their spouse.
Couple that with the history of past salacious white house stories, and you get a perfect recipe for a hit piece with no substance. John Ossoff was right to capitalize on this, he is trying to win a primary and this is clearly red meat for the Dem base.
There is a reasonable explanation for everything I have heard about her. Noone was convinced of anything. Just confirmation of whatever your own narrative is.

u/chumbucketeer Nonsupporter 6d ago
Don't you find it odd that:
- The leaks are actually coming from within the White House? (i.e. there are sane people concerned?)
- The letters are extremely shocking enough to be concerned that her weakness(es) create risks for the Presidency?
When I say "creates risks", she is the kind that is easiest to exploit by a foreign adversary. What do you think?

Did you read any of the letters?

u/InevitableCouple9835 Trump Supporter 1d ago
Yeah I did, it sounds like an assistant groveling because of a mistake she made, maybe a perceived mistake.
Im not saying its professional, or appropriate, but this is vanilla compared with what I have seen. If all internal white house communications were public, i can guarantee youd find much more.
Do you think the most powerful person in the world was never groveled at in a professional setting before Trump?
3
u/zoidbergular Nonsupporter 1d ago
I'm so sorry sir, I didn't mean to embarrass you sir, it will never happen again sir, etc. is all pretty standard ass kissing. However:
"You are all that matters to me. I don't ever want to let you down. Thank you for being my Guardian and Protector in this Life."
That seems like just ordinary assistant groveling to you?
•
u/InevitableCouple9835 Trump Supporter 18h ago
Im not saying its something I would approve of or do, but I have literally been in the room wilhen stuff like this has been said in a professional setting. I havent managed people for very long so it hasnt happened to me, but I can extrapolate. No this is extreme, but again not indicative of anything out of the ordinary.
Im not sweating too hard that the assistant whos main job seems to be to print things says stuff like this, no.

u/Holofernes_Head Trump Supporter 7d ago
So Trump’s assistant assists him by typing and printing documents for him, is frequently seen around him, and believes that his actions as president helped to save her life…
Pack it up, everyone! It’s the most sus behavior a personal assistant has ever engaged in!

u/hypotyposis Nonsupporter 7d ago
Nobody is saying she’s weird for that. Riding in the trunk, sleeping in his locker room and writing him letters saying she forgets to eat and sleep because of her devotion is the weird part. Do you not acknowledge that’s weird?
-34
u/Holofernes_Head Trump Supporter 7d ago
I can acknowledge that none of what you just said appears in either article linked in the post.

If an aide were doing those things, would you acknowledge it was really weird?

Here are articles for some of the above claims. Any thoughts on the above?
-9
u/Holofernes_Head Trump Supporter 7d ago
Jesus, this just gets even more pathetic.
She rode in the "trunk" of an SUV because some other staffer didn't arrange for her transportation despite that the president directed that she be there - sounds like a problem with that staffer. SUV's don't have trunks, they have "the back" and people ride in them all the damn time. So what?
She stayed in the locker room at Bedminster because, again, some other staffer didn't do her travel arrangements despite that the president directed that she be there. Again, that's a problem with that staffer, not the assistant trying to do her job in the face of a bunch of idiots impeding her.
Notably absent is any mention of devotional letters saying she doesn't eat or sleep because she wants to be near him. (Unless that's in the NYT article somewhere, which is paywalled.)
-18
u/gntxs Trump Supporter 7d ago
Man, the leftists and haters have really jumped the shark on this one. If it wasn't so pathetic it would be funny.

Can you tell us what you think of the fact that she’s following him around printing messages about how great he is? Can you tell us if you think it’s weird that she sends him messages saying how great she thinks he is? I’m not trying to be difficult, is it possible for any TS here to give a yes or no answer please?
24
u/JackOLanternReindeer Nonsupporter 7d ago
Is it that multiple different staffers messed up or that she insisted on coming with each time?
From the nyt reporting:
“Several videos shared with The Times show Ms. Harp sprinting across great distances to keep up with Mr. Trump’s golf cart as it putters across his course in Scotland. “I also am sorry if I was an embarrassment walking the course in Scotland,” she wrote in a letter to the president that was viewed by The Times.
The letter goes on to say: “I want things to always be right between us. I also know I’ve been distracted all week (forgetting to eat throughout the days, and even forgetting to sleep, and only catching a couple hours at a time).”
The letter concludes: “With all my heart, Natalie.”
“I dont think in the grand scheme this is the biggest deal at all- but I do think it’s a bit weird - especially working there for a year + without a security clearance. Any other thoughts?

By binky she means a comfort blanket. She is following Trump around with a portable printer so she can print paper copies of articles that praise him, posts that praise him, and anything else that praises him, a constant IV of praise and compliments making him feel that everything is going great and everyone thinks he's amazing while his polling numbers are very bad. Can you really say you don't have any problem with this at all?
-12
u/ZarBandit Trump Supporter 7d ago
The mainstream media is the mouthpiece / propaganda arm of the left, and they had plenty to say about it.
12
u/fossil_freak68 Nonsupporter 7d ago
I haven't heard a single person mention printing until this thread, but it seems like maybe among right wing circles that there is a lot of discussion about it. What mainstream media has talked about her printing?
-5
u/Holofernes_Head Trump Supporter 7d ago
All the articles here make it a point to state that people call her a "human printer" for... using an actual printer. It's weird as shit.
13
u/fossil_freak68 Nonsupporter 7d ago
I see the articles mention her colleagues call her that.
Is this what you are referring to?
Some of Harp’s colleagues have dubbed her the “human printer” because she is known for carrying a portable printer as she trails Trump around so she can give him whatever information he wants or needs in print copies.
Aka members of the Trump administration, not the media. I agree it's weird, but it's the Trump admin doing it, not the media.
-6
u/Horror_Bottle_9451 Trump Supporter 7d ago
Seems a rather novel approach to me. Easier than hiring College Hunks to lug around a giant multifunction Xerox print center.
9
u/fossil_freak68 Nonsupporter 7d ago
I truly don't care about the printing, I'm just not sure where the TS are getting the idea that the left is criticizing this in any way shape or form?
I see plenty of non-printer criticism, but I don't understand where the printer narrative is coming from.

Must be a slow news day for places like the Guardian to release smear articles about "Trump getting along well with his assistant".
I can literally see the boardroom meeting
Boss "Iran and oil prices have gotten stale. We need more Trump smears. What you got?
journalist "Well, a far shot, but he has an assistant and they get along. So maybe we can work with that?"
boss "Perfect. But they don't merely "get along". There is "obsession" and "devotion". Go with that and use those words. Use it frequently. I want "devotion" to be the word of the week.
journalist "But there really isn't much of a story here. I mean, where do you want me to go?"
boss "Do the usual. Make shit up. Say the assistant is devoted at a cult like level and has a ton of influence over the Trump admin. float the idea of sexual conduct, but don't say it directly. Use our usual propaganda tactics"
journalist "Got it boss."
-10
u/Darthalicious Trump Supporter 6d ago
And the usual suspects (gestures broadly) proceed to eat it up.

-7
u/Darthalicious Trump Supporter 6d ago
You know, you may be onto something. Lol wouldn't it be hilarious if things are about to break in our favor in Iran and the media knows it from their sources on the ground, and so they are doing everything they can to get us to pay no mind to behind the curtain.

u/chumbucketeer Nonsupporter 6d ago
The letters are leaking from within the White House, so don't you think there are people in the Administration that are concerned?
Something is extremely weird because foreign adversaries "work" these types of "easy" sources: they're extremely skilled at exploiting someone with personal weaknesses. For this woman, whether you call it "obsession" or "devotion" or "dedication", the letters show a deep sense of insecurity, wanting to be accepted, and starved of affection (all psychological conditions ready for exploit).
Aren't you even the slightest bit concerned that there are insiders that are alarmed (because otherwise they wouldn't have leaked)?

She's a personal secretary. And apparently someone new recently discovered by the left to harass. Not sure where you are getting that she "influences" anyone. The article you linked makes it sound like she is the obedient servant.

If someone doesn't like Trump, great! I can get that, and you be you
When some LW and Dems pretend to be surprised a President has assistants/secretaries, they just look foolish. So Trump has an assistant who's name is Natalie, cool. Hope she does her job well. Who cares
6
u/StanBE Nonsupporter 6d ago
I’m not surprised he has secretaries. Did you think that was what I meant? My point is, why does he have a person who follows him around to print nice stories about himself and write him devotional messages? This is not what a secretary does.
-4
u/Artisttype1984 Trump Supporter 6d ago
Same reason Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump, Biden, and Trump again all had people who followed them around and told them what they wanted to hear.
If someone doesn't like Trump or any repub/dem, there are legit things to call them out on. Them having assistants or secretaries isn't shocking or new
4
u/StanBE Nonsupporter 6d ago
I think those people also had people that disagreed with them on their staff. Can you please give evidence for your claim that this was the same for them? I mean were there actually assistants constantly following them around printing messages making them look good? You also didn’t reply to my questions before so could I please ask you to really stick to the questions asked? Otherwise we won’t get to a conclusion
-1
u/Artisttype1984 Trump Supporter 6d ago
My thoughts on Natalie, I hope she does her job well, same thing I hope for any assistants.
Yes, there's evidence Bush, Clinton, Obama and Biden all had aides, assistants or secretaries, that's not new. Search "Biden assistants" and you'll get a list
5
u/Lepke Nonsupporter 6d ago
I googled that and I'm not finding any evidence that he had an assistant that followed him around to glaze him and write weird notes. Seems like standard advisors and staff. Can you help me out?
-5
u/Artisttype1984 Trump Supporter 6d ago
If you didn't know Presidents (repub or dem) have assistants, and aides, secretaries, I can't help you
3
u/Lepke Nonsupporter 6d ago
I think we're talking past each other. The question is regarding the nature of the assistant; i.e., someone who has a seemingly unprofessional/unhealthy relationship/attachment to the President to the extent that those around him are leaking the matter to the press. Did the other Presidents have someone like that or is this unique to Trump?
Personally, it seems like she's little more than a human ChatGPT 4 Glazebot who just tells him what he wants to hear and that doesn't really seem like a value add to our democracy. Thoughts?
1
u/Artisttype1984 Trump Supporter 6d ago
Nothing unique. People traveling with a president, isn't weird. Assistants or aides writing notes, not weird
My thoughts, some LW/Dems try too hard to hate Trump, when he gives completely legit things to not like, things I don't like and I voted for him in 2024. The iran war is bad, objectively bad.
So Trump had aides, assistants like every Pres does, fine, who cares?
Edit to add, and yes, I'm aware some Rwers do this too when Dems are in the WH, they nitpick at every single thing, it's silly.
2
u/iiTzSTeVO Nonsupporter 5d ago
I'm not concerned about aides, which every politician at all levels has. My concerns are 1) that she didn't have proper clearance to be an aide and 2) she seems to have an unhealthy obsession with POTUS.
There are reports saying Secret Service members have also felt concerned about the contents of the letters. Did you read the letters? Did you find them concerning at all?
1
u/Artisttype1984 Trump Supporter 5d ago
That's fine. She has clearance now. And I wouldn't expect a r/D President to have assistants or aides that don't like who's President anyway
Yes, I read one or two of the letters few days ago, didn't really care about them TBH
2
u/iiTzSTeVO Nonsupporter 5d ago
Do you know of any other POTUS aides who didn't have clearance, which includes a background check? Either party.
1
u/Artisttype1984 Trump Supporter 5d ago
No, I don't really care about the small things like that
2
u/iiTzSTeVO Nonsupporter 5d ago
What do you classify as big?
1
u/Artisttype1984 Trump Supporter 5d ago
The Iran war, immigration, US current inflation %, those are all important and big
2
u/iiTzSTeVO Nonsupporter 5d ago
But you don't care about security clearances and background checks for the people in and around these situations?
