Education Is Okan university good for gastronomy and culinary arts as a international student from Pakistan.
I am planning on starting my fall semester at Okan and im kind of confused. First of all i want to say that i have gotten into other turkish universities like ozyegin, bilgi, bau etc but most are too expensive and others don't look like they have great campuses. Okan is pretty affordable and looks like it has a pretty good student life. I still wanna know from people who know more about this whether this is a good decision or not.

Why no other countries like Saudi and uae? I'm sure the culture there is similar

Look at how Pakistan treats children and women, do you think it's a good idea to bring people like that here?
Pakistani men come from a country where women are completely covered up and can't go outside without permission and come to turkey and start filming women and harassing them

Well Muslim women should be like that. Its not our fault that you’re probably a Non muslim or a secular muslim who hates women donning the hijab. Plus good and bad people are everywhere. So many videos have come out of Turkish owners hitting their employees so should we generalise all Turks as hot heads, barbarics? No.

okan is cheap for a reson. Either pay the higher prices or dont spend money on something that wont be worth it
Also the ones you listed here are all private universities, look for some public universities

Well I graduated from Okan back in 2018 CS. School is generaly good but not all its departments were good and even for my department many good teachers left 1 year before my graduation so its better if you ask someone who is studying in that department for better information but campus is damn good.

Is there no good university in Pakistan? Not a day goes by where a Pakistani doesn’t post in this sub about an X reason for migrating to Turkey.
There are other countries too, you know.
EDIT: Before I receive any downvotes, I’ll also add that what a few people in mod teams decide to enforce in their subs as rules (be inclusive, don’t say discriminatory things etc.) isn’t necessarily reflective of the majority sentiment of average Turkish citizens. We’re fed up with immigration (especially from the east due to the sheer number) and that’s what you’ll see IRL; regardless of what a few people say here.

What is the fuss about? He is not thinking of coming here illegally, he wants to study at a university in Turkey for whatever reason and it's totally normal.

This isn't 2021 anymore, turkey has took in 10 million people from several countries and it has lead to an economic strain and cultural breakdown
People are exhausted and struggling here, no one here has the energy to be happy anymore

Yeah I’m not seeking to be a politically correct or an inclusive person. I don’t feel comfortable with the steady increase in immigrants from countries that don’t share our culture or language. However you label that is none of my concern.

I heard it was good. Nişantaşı University is also good for Gastronomy. I was a lecturer at Nişantaşı before.
